Couples are often told that they can only get married in a building licensed for weddings, yet wedding ceremonies are often carried out in the open air. The picture below was taken at in beautiful parkland near Exeter. Your wedding ceremony could be there, on the beach, or in a venue not licensed for weddings such as your favourite pub.
Firstly we need to meet to discuss the sort of wedding you dream of. I believe that every wedding should be unique, and personal to the couple, so after our meeting I will write a ceremony which reflects your own beliefs and wishes.
Secondly, the legal formalities need to be completed. If this is done at a Register Office it only takes about fifteen minutes, you don’t even need to exchange rings and it only costs about £50.
On the big day, I will conduct your own, totally individual wedding ceremony with your own vows, ring words and readings, at a time and place you choose. There will have been no other wedding quite like yours.
Celebrant weddings are becoming increasingly popular among couples who want an input into their own ceremony, for those wanting an outdoor wedding, and couples who marry abroad and wish to take their vows in front of friends and family when they return home. Ceremonies can also be conducted for renewal of vows and baby naming.
